1. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is Kevin Knitterscheidt. Contact: kevin@knitterscheidt.com.

2. Hosting

This website runs on self-operated infrastructure (a private server in Germany). Delivery does not rely on commercial third-party hosting services.

3. Server log files

When the website is accessed, technically necessary access data (incl. IP address, time of the request, requested resource, browser type) are processed briefly to ensure delivery and security. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in stable and secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These data are not merged with other sources and are deleted promptly.

4. Audience measurement (Umami)

To tailor this offering to actual demand, I use the self-hosted, cookieless analytics software Umami. No cookies are set and no cross-device user profiles are created. Recorded are: pages viewed, referrer, browser, operating system and device type, screen size, language and country of origin. The IP address is used only transiently to determine the country of origin and to generate a daily-rotating, non-reversible identifier, and is not stored. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data are deleted after twelve months at the latest. A “Do Not Track” signal from your browser is respected – if enabled, no measurement takes place.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, a message to kevin@knitterscheidt.com suffices.
